Relay for Life Week

Relay For Life Week!  Give Us Hope!:

Southern Middle School will be celebrating Relay for Life during the week of May 21 – May 25. During that week, SMS Ensemble, Advanced Chorus, and Band members will be sponsoring several events to raise money for the Cancer Society. It is our hope that most of our students will participate and help with this worthy cause. Last year we raised over $1,500 in one week!  The year before we raised over $4,000! So….what will be going on and how can you help us exceed these totals?  Click here for a list of events so that you can help support our efforts.

Concert for Life: Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Southern Middle Gym.  There will also be a bake sale starting at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Click here for additional information.

Sports Accomplishments

Baseball wins Conference Championship: Congrats to the baseball team, for finishing 11-1 and winning the conference championship. This is the 27th title for the Diamond Tigers and  5th in the last 6 years.

Perrou Cup returns for the 2011-12 School Year: Congratulations to all the student-athletes for bringing home the Perrou Cup again this year.  The Perrou Cup is an all-sports trophy that is awarded each year to the school with the top overall athletic program. Points are awarded for where you finish in the standings for all 8 sports seasons. We also won it in 2009-10.
